I've decided to put some constraints on this little project of mine. The NEW goal is the write every day for one month (or until March 25 - my bday!) Then I will re-evaluate...
My thought for today is from President Eyring's message in the Feb. Ensign. It is about missionary work. The part that stood out to me most was this: "We need to exercise our faith that the Lord has prepared people around us to be taught. He knows who they are and when they are ready, and He can guide us to them by the power of the Holy Ghost and give us words to invite them to be taught."
I like this because I think applies so much to how I feel about missionary work. Part of my motivation - ok, a MAJOR part - of my motivation for wanting to do missionary work is that I want my boys to serve missions and I realize that if missionary work isn't important to me and to our family, then it might not be important to them. I do want to share the gospel but I always think that there isn't anyone I know that would... work. I need to follow Pres. Eyring's counsel and exercise my faith that the Lord has prepared someone around me. HE knows who they are, and HE can guide me to them.
